In Vinnitsa, a preventive measure was chosen for the tenant of the Butterfly hotel and entertainment complex, where a fire broke out on December 22.
The incident killed a 21-year-old girl , and two more people were injured and are now in a hospital in serious condition.
On December 22, police detained 46- summer woman renting the Butterfly complex. She is suspected of violating fire safety rules (part 2 of article 270 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
On Thursday, December 23, the Vinnytsia City Court chose her as a preventive measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest. The suspect will be under house arrest during the pre-trial investigation.
The materials of the petition noted that the hotel complex did not have adequate means to extinguish the fire , so the fire could not be extinguished in a timely manner.
A fire near Vinnitsa occurred on the night of December 22. The fire spread to the roof of the building.
There were more than 50 children at the hotel at that time who had come to a taekwondo sports camp. A 21-year-old employee of the institution was killed & # 8212; she decided to escape by jumping out of the sixth floor window.
Two of her colleagues did the same, but they managed to jump onto the fire escape, now the victims are in a hospital in serious condition.
