Rescuers in Valencia have brought a fire that broke out in a business premises located in an apartment building under control. It is known that residents of hundreds of apartments have been evacuated.

The fire broke out in a business premises located in a residential building on Puerto de Valencia Avenue.
Due to the fire, residents had to be evacuated from two buildings with about a hundred apartments.
As a result of the incident, 14 people were injured and received medical assistance. The publication indicates that all of them were diagnosed with smoke inhalation.
Valencia Mayor Maria José Catalá said late Tuesday that firefighters had managed to put out the fire and were continuing to check each apartment in the affected buildings.
“The main problem will be the amount of smoke and flammable materials indoors, so some people will not be able to spend the night in their homes,” she said.
Once the fire is extinguished and the entire residential area has been inspected, the Valencia police will begin an investigation into the causes of the fire, the mayor stressed.
