AFP: Fire breaks out at South African Parliament building in Cape Town, firefighters request reinforcements

A fire broke out in the building of the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa (RSA) in Cape Town. This was announced on Sunday, January 2, by AFP on its Twitter.
The representative of the emergency services clarified that the building itself, as well as its roof, was on fire. According to eyewitnesses, thick smoke is rising over the burning area.
Currently, it is not possible to localize the fire. Firefighters requested reinforcements.
There was no information about the victims, the reasons for what happened are being established.
On December 1 last year, it was reported that a fire broke out in the building of the Iranian parliament. After the fire, the deputies were evacuated. No data have been reported about the victims and the causes of the fire.
