The Finnish authorities are preparing to introduce new restrictions on the issuance of visas to Russians.
Thus, in Finland it is planned to slow down the issuance of visas to citizens of the aggressor country.
This was announced by Finnish Foreign Minister Pekki Haavisto in a comment to MTV3.
According to him, Finland has already decided how exactly they will restrict the issuance of visas to Russians.
“In practice, this (restriction – ed.) will mean that you can apply for a tourist visa on Mondays, and from Tuesday to Friday you can apply for a visa on family circumstances, training, work or other weighty reasons,” said Haavisto.
He explained that innovations will significantly slow down the issuance of from citizens of the Russian Federation and they are implemented at the national level of legislation.
Recall that US President Joe Biden signed protocols on accession to the Alliance of Sweden and Finland. This was the most significant expansion of the military alliance since the 1990s in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
