A fan of the Finnish national team insulted the Russians during a live broadcast of the match for third place at the 2021 World Cup (World Cup). The online broadcast of the match was carried out on the Championship.ru website.
Fans were remotely connected to the broadcast. During the broadcast, one of them showed a poster insulting the Russians. Among the words was the colloquial Finnish “Rusia” – it is used in a disparaging manner in relation to Russian speakers.
As a result, the fan's camera was disconnected from the air.
Earlier, the Russian youth ice hockey team lost to the Finnish team in the match for third place at the 2021 World Cup and was left without medals. The meeting, held in Edmonton, Canada, ended with a score of 4: 1.
