Finland introduced state of emergency due to coronavirus

The Finnish authorities are reintroducing a state of emergency (state of emergency) in the country due to the situation with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic. This was reported on the official website of the Finnish Cabinet of Ministers.

The Cabinet decided that what is happening in the country can be recognized as exceptional circumstances and issued a decree on the immediate introduction of a state of emergency. It is reported that the reason for this decision was the rapid spread of new strains of coronavirus.

Public saunas, swimming pools and fitness rooms have closed in the country, catering establishments are planned to be closed, and later in March they are going to arrange a full lockdown for a period of three weeks. From March 1, a compulsory coronavirus test for people entering the country is also introduced.

According to the Worldometers portal, 58.6 thousand cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Finland during the entire epidemic, about 46 thousand people have recovered, 742 deaths have been recorded.
