Finland finally stopped railway communication with the Russian Federation: the railway operator wrote off all trains

The company has written off all rolling stock and spare parts for a total of 45.4 million euros.

Finnish state railway operator VR Group has written off all Allegro trains that ran between St. Petersburg and Helsinki.

This is stated in the financial report VR Group.

“The company has retired all Allegro-related rolling stock and spare parts for a total of €45.4 million,” the company said in a statement.

In March VR Group announced the termination of cooperation with RZD due to sanctions against Russia. High-speed passenger trains “Allegro” stopped running at the end of March.

Recall that Finland will begin to reduce the number of visas issued to Russians.
