Finland will build a fence on the border with the aggressor country Russia. The day before, on February 27, they started ground work.

On Monday, trees were uprooted from both sides of the border crossing near the Finnish city of Imatra. In this area, a three-kilometer test site will first be built, and only then the sports fence will be continued.
It is noted that the work is planned to be completed by the end of June this year. A road for border patrols and repair work will be built next to the fence. Light markers and loudspeakers will be installed on some sections of the route.
By the way, Finland wants to build about 200 km of the fence along the eastern border in the next few years.
Recall that 36.1 km of a permanent fence was built on the Latvian-Belarusian border. Construction work has been ongoing since August 2022. According to the plan, the work should be completed in the spring this year. While the second – until the spring of 2024.
