Slovak Prime Minister demands that Ukraine resume transit of Russian oil.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that as a result of Ukraine stopping the transit of Russian Lukoil oil, Bratislava may limit supplies of diesel fuel.
The head of the Slovak government said this in a video address on July 29.
Fico met and talked with Ukrainian Ambassador Miroslav Kastran about Kiev stopping the transit of oil from Russian Lukoil.
“If the transit of Russian oil through Ukraine does not resume in a short time, Slovnaft will not continue to supply diesel to Ukraine, covering a tenth of Ukraine's consumption,” the Slovak Prime Minister said.
He added that the further effect of this sanction “will only harm” Ukraine, Slovakia and Hungary. According to Fico, Castro received information about the technical solution for oil imports, which the Slovak Prime Minister had previously proposed to his Ukrainian counterpart Denys Shmyhal.

“If the European Union wants to get out from under the total influence of the United States, I will have to think about forms of cooperation with the Russian Federation, which should also include cooperation in the field of strategic raw materials,” the head of the Slovak government said.
Recall that earlier, the Financial Times, citing its own sources, reported that the European Commission rejected Hungary and Slovakia's request to call on Ukraine to lift the ban on transit of Russian oil to Lukoil.
