Feminism and childfree suggested equating to extremism

The Commission for the Protection of Children from the Destructive Influence of Content under Roskomnadzor has proposed equating LGBT, radical feminism and childfree with extremism. This was stated by the head of the commission, Andrei Tsyganov, at the coordination meeting of the Parents' Chamber, TASS reports.

“All kinds of LGBT ideologies, radical feminism, all these furries (the movement of fans of images of anthropomorphic animals with human features – ed.), Childfree – they, of course, must be recognized at least as extremism, extremist ideology in order to untie the hands of our law enforcers – Roskomnadzor and so on, ”TASS quotes him as saying.

The coordination meeting of the Parents' Chamber was held on September 29 in Moscow with the participation of more than 200 delegates – State Duma deputies, members of the Federation Council, representatives of public organizations and others. Following the meeting, the participants will adopt a resolution proposing to the authorities on measures in the field of family protection and demography.

We will remind that earlier in Russia they already called to ban radical feminism, childfree and sexual education – in May 2021, a member of the State Duma committee on family, women and children Inga Yumasheva came up with such an initiative.

Then the official suggested creating an analytical department to combat destructive content, and expanding the list itself, recognizing the propaganda of LGBT, radical feminism, sex education, the promotion of early sexual relations and the popularization of abortion as destructive materials.

Yumasheva emphasized that such information encourages children to commit suicide, spreads pedophilia and is political manipulation.
