The vice president of Transneft fell out of a 17th floor window and died.

In Moscow, 62-year-old Vice President of Transneft Andrey Badalov died on Rublevskoe Highway. According to preliminary data, he fell from the balcony of the 17th floor of a residential building, although he lived on the tenth. The incident occurred in the elite Rublevka district, where high-ranking officials and businessmen live.

Russian media reported this.

The information about Badalov's death was confirmed by the company itself. Law enforcement and operational services are working at the scene. According to the preliminary version of the investigation, it was a suicide, but there are no final conclusions yet.

The deceased's daughter Marina Drobachevskaya, who works at the Almaz-Antey concern, told the VChK-OGPU that her father had been depressed lately, often coming home tired and upset, but did not talk about his intentions to commit suicide. She also recalled that after his wife's death in 2018, Badalov did not withdraw into himself, but maintained active communication with his family.

“I don't know how it happened. It was an accident, or maybe he was let down. He didn't leave me any notes,” she noted.

At Transneft, Badalov was responsible for digital transformation and information technology. Before that, he worked at the Voskhod Research Institute, which specializes in developing state automated systems.

The death of Andrei Badalov is the latest in a series of mysterious deaths of top managers of Russian oil and gas companies. Since 2022, Russia has regularly recorded premature deaths of top management in the industry. Often, this looks like a fall from a window, poisoning, or sudden cardiac arrest. It is noteworthy that in some cases, family members also died, as was the case, for example, with Novatek top manager Sergei Protosenya.

The death of Gazprom's head of transport Leonid Shulman, who was found dead in the bathroom of his country house on January 30, 2022, was high-profile. In October 2024, former YUKOS vice president Mikhail Rogachev fell out of a window. Lukoil top managers also died mysteriously: Alexander Subbotin (died during a “shamanic ritual”), Ravil Maganov (fell out of a hospital window), Vladimir Nekrasov (died suddenly of a heart attack), Vitaly Robertus (died in the spring of 2024).

Despite the official versions, these deaths raise many questions, particularly among the relatives of the deceased.
