Features of the course of COVID-19 in vaccinated
Severe cases of coronavirus are extremely rare in vaccinated patients. Immunologist Nikolai Kryuchkov told about this, Sputnik radio reports.
“If a person gets sick after vaccination, he gets sick easily in the overwhelming majority of cases. Although there is still a small probability that a person will get a severe form of the disease, this probability is reduced by 98–99%, ”the specialist said.
According to the immunologist, a vaccinated person with a coronavirus will shed viruses, but this period will be shorter.
“Usually this period lasts up to a week after the onset of symptoms. In this case, this period will be 3-4 days, and the person will not know that he is dangerous to others, since there are no symptoms, ”the expert noted.
Earlier in Russia, revaccination of those vaccinated and ill with coronavirus began.
