Bill Gates Sr., father of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, has passed away at the age of 94. Reported by CNBC.
Gates died on Monday, September 14, at his beach home in the US state of Washington, he had Alzheimer's. It is noted that the health of Gates Sr. gradually deteriorated. He died at home with his family.
“My father was the 'real' Bill Gates. He was everything I aspire to be and I will miss him every day, ”wrote Gates Jr. on his blog. The founder of Microsoft noted that as a child, his father never allowed him to do what he was good at, pushing him to learn new things.
The entrepreneur said that the unconditional love and support of his parents meant a lot to him. He admitted that this was one of the reasons he wasn't afraid to take big risks, like dropping out of college to start Microsoft with Paul Allen.
