FAS granted the petition of Sigi Foods to acquire the manufacturer Gallina Blanca
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has authorized the Sigi Foods noodle company to buy the Gallina Blanca manufacturer. RIA Novosti reports.
“FAS Russia has satisfied the petition of Sigi Foods LLC to acquire the manufacturer of Gallina Blanca products – European Foods GB CJSC,” the ministry said.
Siji Foods is a Russian subsidiary of the noodle maker CG Foods, part of CG Corp Global in Nepal. The FAS noted that the deal will not harm competition in the food market.
Earlier it became known that GBFoods, which produces instant food products under the Gallina Blanca brand, decided to leave Russia. According to Kommersant, a noodle manufacturer will buy the company's factory in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The Russian structure of GBFood – Europe Foods GB – will be acquired by the Nepalese LLC Sigi Foods. According to the source of the publication, the Russian business of GBFoods was considered for purchase by other companies as well.
