Guardiola's ManCity can see 8,000 fans in the stadium in the league cup final
For the final of the English Football League Cup between Tottenham and Manchester City, fans are again allowed in the stadium for the first time. However, you have to present a negative Corona test in order to be able to attend the game on April 25 at London's Wembley Stadium. To do this, they have to take a quick test at least 24 hours before kick-off, which is offered free of charge to all adults in pharmacies.
Free PCR tests are also required before the game and no later than five days after the game, which fans can take at home. A negative corona test is also required when traveling by public transport, and mandatory means of transport are available for trailers from Manchester. A total of 8,000 spectators are allowed. Both clubs receive 2,000 tickets each, the remaining tickets go to residents and medical staff. Under 18-year-olds who have not yet been vaccinated against the coronavirus are excluded. Pregnant women and the chronically ill are not advised to visit.
The game is part of a government pilot program to test the return of large numbers of viewers to sporting events. This also includes the FA Cup semi-finals between Leicester City (Christian Fuchs) and Southampton (Ralph Hasenhüttl) on April 18, to which a total of 4,000 spectators are admitted, as well as the FA Cup final on May 15, where even 21,000 tickets are to be issued.
Wembley Stadium has 90,000 seats. There are also several European Championship games taking place there in summer, to which fans should be allowed. The British government is currently planning to lift all corona restrictions on June 21.
