Lukas Weißhaidinger is back in Austria! On Monday around 9 p.m., the Olympic third party landed in the discus throw in Schwechat and was greeted euphorically by fans, friends and family.
60 people from his fan club traveled by bus from Taufkirchen to celebrate the 29-year-old.
Weißhaidinger took time for photos, autographs and proudly presented his bronze work.
“I hope Franzi has already chilled a barrel of beer,” he told his brother in Tokyo. Weißhaidinger also revealed what he discussed with Gold Champion Daniel Stahl (Swe) at the award ceremony. “I invited him to fly fishing.” The two are united by their love for nature.
