The rebels killed a detachment of the Russian private military campaign "Wagner".
The Wagner commander died in Mali “Anton Elizarov (Lotus), who previously led the offensive against Soledar and Bakhmut during the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

A column of Mali government troops and Wagner mercenaries were ambushed by local rebels. In the battle, from 17 to 50 fighters of the Mali government forces and Wagnerites were killed. Among the dead, according to preliminary data, is the administrator of the GRAY ZONE channel, 31-year-old Nikita Fedyanin from the Lipetsk region.
Russian mercenaries have been in Mali since 2021: in 2020 the military seized power again, and a year later the junta invited the Wagner PPK to provide security
Recall that earlier it became known that in northwestern Africa, rebels of the northern Tuaregs of Mali killed and wounded dozens of soldiers and mercenaries “Wagner” for two days of fighting near the border with Algeria.
