In Imola it was rumored that the two Formula 1 drivers had given positive tests. It was a hoax.
There was great excitement before the Formula 1 race in Imola on Sunday: At least one of the two Alpine drivers Fernando Alonso or Esteban Ocon is said to have tested positive for the corona virus, it was rumored on social media. Alpine replacement pilot Daniil Kwjat had already flown to Italy and was ready in Imola.
However: the report was simply wrong. The false rumors had been spread through a fake account on Twitter. This has now been blocked. The Alpine team confirmed that both drivers are fit and will compete this weekend.

Substitute Kwjat was actually in Imola. But the Russian only had his seat adjusted. There has been no way to do this yet. The 26-year-old has meanwhile left again.
Fernando Alonso can overtake Michael Schumacher in one of the many statistics in Imola. The Spaniard is only 16 laps short of the race to reach 16,826 laps and overtake the Germans in this standings. The Finn Kimi Räikkönen is in the lead with 17,640 laps.
