On Sunday, June 6, the American company SpaceX launched the Falcon 9 launch vehicle, which successfully launched the SXM-8 relay satellite into orbit. This was reported by the company that hosted the broadcast.

The launch of the carrier rocket took place at 00:26 US East Coast time (07:26 Moscow time) from the cosmodrome at Cape Canaveral, located in Florida. In 31 minutes 52 seconds after launch, the satellite was successfully launched into orbit. “Segregation of cargo has been confirmed,” said one of the launch operators.

The first stage of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle, which had previously been used twice to deliver Crew Dragon crews to orbit, a couple of minutes after launch, automatically landed on the Just Read the Instructions floating platform in the Atlantic Ocean.

The SXM-8 satellite is designed to provide broadcasting of radio programs in the United States, as well as Canada and the Caribbean.

We will remind, the day before, on June 5, the American cargo ship Dragon docked with the International Space Station (ISS), where it delivered 3.3 tons of cargo.
