Fake referendums and disruption of green corridors: Leshchenko on Kremlin propaganda technologies

by alex

Against the background of the absence of any military victory in the war with Ukraine, the Kremlin switched to the tactics of creating illusions that the local population allegedly supports the plan to “liberate” Ukraine.

This was announced on March 13 at a briefing following the analysis of the Kremlin's fakes, said one of the advisers to the head of the President's Office, Sergei Leshchenko.

“In particular, this is an attempt to create the so-called Kherson People's Republic, which will only bring misfortune and misfortune to Ukrainian lands, as well as the creation of certain prerequisites for holding fictitious referendums,” Sergey Leshchenko explained.

He also voiced the official position declared by the Ukrainian authorities: any initiatives of so-called referendums, fictitious sessions of local councils, distribution of Russian passports in the temporarily occupied cities of Ukraine are nothing more than useless attempts to somehow legitimize their presence in a foreign country.

The next fake that the Kremlin is actively spreading is that Ukraine is allegedly refusing to organize green corridors for the evacuation of the civilian population.

The deception lies in the fact that the Russian Federation offers such corridors not in the direction of Ukraine and Western countries, but in its own Russian direction.

– Thus, first they come to our land, create a humanitarian catastrophe here, and then offer the local population to evacuate to their lands, showing their “humanitarian mission”, which in fact is absolute cynicism.
