Facebook's Oculus has acquired Onward, a military virtual reality (VR) simulator. This is Downpour Interactive.

Facebook explained that they saw the success of Onward on the Oculus platform, first on the Rift headset, and then on the Quest. As a result, Downpour Interactive will become part of the Oculus Studios “family”, it will receive more resources and support.

All Downpour Interactive employees will move to the Oculus Studios team. Facebook also confirmed that Onward will continue to be supported across all platforms where the game is currently available: Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, and Steam.

It is noted that Downpour Interactive will continue to control its projects itself.
