The world's largest social network Facebook has blocked a page that spread rumors that Bill Gates was involved in the COVID-19 pandemic.
The account owner also discussed the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine in treating coronavirus infection. She also runs the Health Nut News website, which markets itself as a resource for alternative health care. On social media, she spread anti-vaccine ideas.
Previously, researchers found that only 12 people are responsible for distributing 65% of anti-vaccination materials on Facebook.
We will remind, last year there was a conspiracy theory that Bill Gates was one of the organizers of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bill himself spoke of this as something that worries and surprises him. The Gates Foundation donated money to create vaccines.
