Face recognition broke in Samsung Galaxy smartphones

Owners of 2019 Galaxy S10 5G smartphones faced a problem after a firmware update. Devices stopped recognizing faces to unlock.

It looks like not all S10 5Gs were affected. However, Samsung has already acknowledged the problem.

It's worth noting that the Galaxy S10 5G was the company's first smartphone with a front-facing 3D Time-of-Flight sensor. It looks like the firmware stopped working correctly with it after the update.

Some users from South Korea said that after the update, the front camera of the S10 5G stopped working altogether, the camera application gives errors. Someone even claims that the battery has begun to drain faster, and the phone heats up more. As for the face recognition function, when you try to use it, the screen turns black.

There is no solution to the problem yet. Users are advised to use the fingerprint scanner to unlock until the patch is released.
