Former coach of the Russian national football team, Fabio Capello, named the main reason for the failure of Russian clubs in European competitions. His words are quoted by “Championship.com”.
Capello considered that the level of Russian players was not high enough to compete with foreigners in the Champions League and Europa League. “The problem is that all Russian footballers play at home against Russian teams. And it affects them negatively, ”said the coach.
