F-22 US Air Force sat down

The fifth generation fighter F-22 Raptor of the US Air Force (Air Force) “experienced an emergency in flight”, as a result of which it landed with its bow on the runway (runway). This is reported by The Drive, referring to materials published on Facebook.

According to the American newspaper, the incident took place on March 15 at Anglin Air Force Base in Florida. The pilot in control of the plane was “taken to a medical facility for examination.”

The reasons for the incident are not named in the publication.

The Drive recalls that the US Air Force currently has 185 F-22 Raptor fighters, of which only 125 are operational.

In March, the American magazine Popular Mechanics wrote that the helicopter being developed as part of the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) project for the US Army will receive a 20-mm cannon capable of “killing” lightly armored systems, in particular, the Pantsir -С1 “of Russian production.
