Ukraine needs not only aircraft, but also pilots with the necessary training.
NATO allies are determined to deliver F-16 fighters to Ukraine as soon as possible.
This was announced by the Secretary General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with the Inter TV channel.
“You need not only aircraft, but also pilots with the necessary training and qualifications. We are pushing for this to happen as quickly as possible. Because this will give Ukraine the ability to defend itself,” he said.
At the same time, Stoltenberg emphasized that in war there is no universal remedy that will immediately solve all problems.
“One such weapon or missile is not capable of this. It is necessary to combine land, air and sea systems. The courage and determination of the Ukrainians are needed. And all this together will ensure success,” the NATO Secretary General concluded.
Recall that the first F-16 fighters are expected to arrive in Ukraine this summer, but their number will be much smaller than Kyiv expected.
