Extremist social networks: Russian court bans Facebook and Instagram

The Tverskoy Court made the corresponding decision. The solutions do not yet apply to WhatsApp. As the judge read out at the hearing, the blocking of social networks should take place immediately.

Recall that at midnight on Monday, March 14 (Moscow time) in the Russian Federation user access was closed to the social network Instagram. Russian bloggers are being urged to switch to the “competitive” social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.

The Kremlin also plans to ban the YouTube platform. Probably, the blocking will take place before the end of next week, that is, on March 27.
