An explosion occurred at one of the country's largest oil refineries, TÜPRAŞ, in the province of Kocaeli in Turkey on November 5.

According to the publication, the explosion at the TÜPRAŞ enterprise in the Korfez district of Kocaeli province occurred at about 13:00 (12:00 Kyiv time).
The explosion sent a column of smoke into the air. Many medical and police teams were sent to the scene. Emergency workers began to extinguish the fire.
Kocaeli Municipality Mayor Tahir Buyukakin said that the explosion occurred during routine training at the enterprise. According to him, there are no casualties.
The building of the enterprise and the surrounding houses were evacuated.
