Experts told what viruses can threaten gamers
Information security specialists of Avast told what viruses threaten gamers, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
The most serious threat, experts called the BloodyStealer virus, which, among other things, steals player accounts. This allows attackers to exploit victims' accounts in large online games.
Cybercriminals also use Crackonosh malware by loading it into hacked versions of games. These are illegal copies that are downloaded instead of buying the game. Crackonosh disables security solutions and updates, leaving the system vulnerable to a variety of attacks.
To avoid becoming victims of cybercriminals, experts advise enabling multi-factor authentication and downloading software only from official online stores.
Earlier, the head of Kaspersky Lab Evgeny Kapersky called for international cooperation in the fight against hackers. According to the expert, cyber-men feel at ease, because no one can arrest them if they do not carry out a hacker attack on their territory.
