It belongs to the Chinese rocket Long March 5b, writes RB. This Changzheng-5B rocket launched the first module of the Chinese orbital station on Wednesday last week. The Changzheng 5B stage remained in orbit and is now slowly losing altitude. This object was supposed to fall into a predetermined place in the ocean, but this did not happen.
The media write that it is not possible to predict the place where the step will fall. The populated areas of the Earth are also under threat.
Experts said that if the step falls, it can burn up in the Earth's atmosphere, but small debris can still fall to the surface. According to one of the specialists, the path of the object passes “slightly north of New York, Madrid and Beijing, and south of Chile and Wellington, New Zealand.” A fall can be expected within this range in the worst case scenario.
