Analytical company Deloitte conducted a survey among 1,280 senior executives and practitioners in 10 countries: Brazil, USA, China, UK, Singapore, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, South Africa, United Arab Emirates. The study was conducted to find out the attitude towards the blockchain system, and how the respondents see the practical benefits of this solution.
As noted, the blockchain is traditionally considered only a financial system, because it simplifies many processes, is safe and transparent, and creates new payment channels. And the attitude towards him is this: 73% of financial leaders fear that if their organizations do not implement blockchain, they will not be able to compete, and 81% of those surveyed agreed that blockchain technology is already a full-fledged part of our life. “These technologies are no longer even the future – this is the present,” the research report says.
At the same time, blockchain can be used to optimize and reduce the cost of processes in other areas. For example, it is already being successfully used in the Russian system of remote electronic voting. “In Moscow, it will no longer be necessary to open several thousand polling stations every couple of years,” the authors of the study emphasized.
