As it became known, former WhatsApp developers have created their own communication application – HalloApp. It is already available in the Google Play and App Store stores.
The main features of the novelty are end-to-end encryption and the absence of any advertising, writes The Verge. At the same time, in order to start a chat with any user, you need to find out his phone number. This, by the way, creates an additional layer of privacy protection.
Interestingly, the application intends to become more than just an ordinary messenger – it is expected that HelloApp will be used as a full-fledged social network for friends.
Among the co-founders of the new company was Niraj Arora – until 2018 one of the top managers of WhatsApp, who took part in the discussion of the deal with Facebook.
