Daka
Leicester City celebrated a 4-3 triumph over Russian representatives Spartak Moscow in the third round of the Europa League.
The former Salzburg goalscorer Patson Daka became the absolute match winner of the “Foxes”, put together a four-pack and gave the Premier League club their first “three”.
Alexander Sobolev (11th) and Jordan Larsson (44th) shot the Muscovites 2-0 in front before Daka scored the goal in less than 34 minutes. The striker shot his team 4-2 in the front with hits in the 45th, 48th, 54th and 78th minutes.
And with it to victory. Because the second Sobolev goal to make the final score 3: 4 (86th) was too late. In the finish, Spartak was unable to add any more.
Their first win puts Leicester, with four points in their books, into second place in Group C. Spartak slips to third with three points. Legia Warsaw remains at the top of the table with a maximum of six points, while Napoli takes over the red lantern with one point.
