Former British Defense Minister Ben Wallace believes that the departure of the British troops to Ukraine “cannot be ruled out.”
The statement of the former minister is quoted by the Daily Mail.
“We have to use the phrase 'we can't rule out'. After all, part of deterrence is ambiguity, so that the enemy thinks how far we will go and what we will do. This is what Putin does masterfully – it keeps everyone guessing. It's important that we never close the door and keep people guessing,” Wallace said.
According to him, the sham elections in Russia showed that the head of the Kremlin is the closest to Adolf Hitler in this generation.
“The best thing is to make sure that he understands that we consider what he is doing in Ukraine to be very, very serious,” said the former head of the British Ministry of Defense.
Recall that in mid-January Ukraine and Great Britain signed a security agreement. London's security obligations under this document will remain in force until Ukraine joins NATO.
