In Ukraine, June 22 is the Day of Sorrow and perpetuation of the memory of those who died in World War II. President Volodymyr Zelensky noted that such oil will never happen again, but evil has come to Ukrainian soil again.

The President noted that on June 22 everyone who died in the Second World War is remembered. We are talking about millions of lost lives and deformed destinies.

Ukraine is fighting for a new victory, – Zelensky

This should not have happened again, but the evil has returned. On February 24, kafirs came to our land. And we fight for a new victory. And not a single enemy breaks our will,” the head of state wrote.

Zelensky illustrated his message with photographs in which houses were destroyed, people in tears, soldiers grieving for their brothers, evidence of broken and torn lives.

However, these are not archival photos that are more than 70 years old. These are fresh footage from the war still ongoing on Ukrainian soil.

Pay attention! 22 June 1941 German troops invaded the territory of the Soviet Union and began the occupation. Over the next 4 years of the war, every 5th Ukrainian died.

Other post-Soviet republics are under threat

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Ukraine is trying to contain Russia. However, if it does not do this, then Russian aggression may spread to other countries. In particular, the Baltic countries and even Poland are under threat. The reason is that in Moscow for some reason they consider the countries – the former parts of the USSR – as parts of their territory.

The terrible consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine:

  • Victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine could become tens of thousands of people. In Mariupol alone, more than 20,000 local residents were killed in advance at the hands of the Russians.
  • According to Oleksiy Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office, more than 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers died during the full-scale war with Russia, and three times as many were injured.
  • According to preliminary estimates, the enemies destroyed 45 million square meters of housing in Ukraine.
  • In Ukraine, Russia “denazified” 1.5 thousand schools, kindergartens and universities. More than a hundred of them can no longer be restored.
