We see the formation of new alliances that are aimed at China, to prevent its maneuvers with Russia, around South Korea, Japan or Taiwan. After all, according to the conviction of the United States and Asian democracies, the next big war will not be in Europe, but in another region.

The United States has unblocked self-censorship against China, and very serious statements are being made about China’s role in the war in Ukraine. It is also necessary to take into account that the Chinese leader only recently visited Europe and communicated with the leaders of Western states.

“Everyone is putting a lot of pressure on him and waiting to see what decision he will make. If Xi decides not to stop the Russian war in Ukraine – this will change the situation and have a bad impact on the PRC itself, but for Ukraine, the lack of a Chinese desire to do something will be a negative factor,” Kharitonov emphasized.

Cooperation between Russia and China

• Vladimir Putin immediately after the “inauguration” flew to China. Propaganda media wrote that his visit would cover two cities: Beijing and Harbin. Negotiations with Xi Jinping and signing of documents based on their results are also planned. This is Putin's second visit to China in less than a year.
• The meeting with the President of China took place on May 16. Putin brought with him deputy prime ministers and other officials. It is reported that the Russian dictator will hold “informal negotiations”, and then meetings will take place in an expanded format. It is interesting that during the greeting of the head of the Kremlin, cannon fire was heard, and children were jumping with pom-poms in their hands.
• Before that, Xi Jinping was in France. There he said that Russia and Ukraine should sit down at the negotiating table. According to him, this is supposedly the only way to achieve peace. Xi also refused to participate in a security conference unless there was an aggressor country.
