“Since the beginning of the war, the Russian military has committed hundreds of thousands of crimes against humanity and war crimes. The National Police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs record all these cases, this is very important for future courts. To this end, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is launching a project to videotape all crimes. Everyone who left the occupied territories must be provided with demonstrations, including video and photo evidence. So that later Russia would compensate for all the damage, this is hundreds of billions of dollars,” Anton Gerashchenko said.
He stressed that a lot of crimes were committed in the territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation.
– It is known about the execution of three citizens of Ukraine in Borodyanka, who accidentally took the position of the Russians. They stripped them, examined their phones, and then shot them so that the Ukrainians would not tell about their positions,” Gerashchenko said.
He claims that so far there are no recorded and documented facts of rape, but these cases are known thanks to the interception of the conversations of Russian invaders.
– Another category of crimes is looting and robbery. Every citizen of Ukraine who has become a victim of such a crime will receive compensation from the aggressor state in the future. It is not yet possible to calculate the damage to infrastructure, but everything will be compensated from the assets of the Russian Central Bank and other state Russian institutions, whose accounts are now frozen abroad, the minister's adviser said.
Gerashchenko claims that all war crimes will be considered by Ukrainian courts, and all convicted will be put on the international wanted list.
