The German ticket group CTS Eventim demands that organizers may link access to concerts to the presence of a corona vaccination.
CTS Eventim, to which the Öticket brand also belongs, wants concert organizers to be able to tie participation in concerts and events to a vaccination against the coronavirus. Technologically, CTS Eventim is already equipped for this: the systems can scan vaccination cards.
“If there is enough vaccine and everyone can be vaccinated, then private-sector organizers should also have the opportunity to make a vaccination as a prerequisite for access to events”, said the chairman of the board Klaus-Peter Schulenberg of the “WirtschaftsWoche”. CTS Eventim has already created the appropriate technical prerequisites should a concert organizer want to use such an option. “We have set up our systems so that they can also read vaccination cards.” He understands that people have concerns about a vaccination, “but when you see how vaccinations are now being carried out worldwide without any relevant side effects, then it is to be hoped that this skepticism will soon disappear.”
