By November 1 of this year, WhatsApp will no longer be supported on a number of older smartphones, both running Android and iOS.
According to DNA, the list of “obsolete” smartphones will include Samsung Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy SII, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Xcover 2, Galaxy Ace 2, ZTE Grand S Flex, Huawei Ascend G740, Ascend Mate … WhatsApp will also lose almost all smartphones of the LG Optimus series younger than the seventh generation.
The same fate will befall all iPhones under the fifth generation (the oldest model to support iOS 10).
However, the list of Android smartphones on which WhatsApp will no longer work may be even wider than the above list.
