Europe's stock exchanges start firmer, DAX at a record high

The stock exchanges in Europe started trading on Monday with profits. The Euro-Stoxx-50 rose by 0.81 percent to 3,572.05 points by around 9:30 a.m. The German DAX rose 1.34 percent to 13,769.11 points. In early trading, the index even hit a new record high. The UK stock exchange will remain closed on Monday.

With the Brexit deal and the US Corona aid package, two hanging games came to an end shortly before the end of the year during the Christmas break – and investors draw courage from this. Shortly before the end of the Brexit transition phase, Great Britain and the European Union published their laboriously negotiated trade pact for the time afterwards. This is the end of a protracted dispute – as is the case in the USA, where the incumbent President Donald Trump gave up his most recent blockade and has now finally put a $ 900 billion corona stimulus package into effect.
