President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with the leaders of the European Union in Brussels. They will likely discuss issues of Russian gas transit through Ukraine. The dialogue has been going on for several months, and now the buyers have stepped up their efforts.

“This is one of the issues we will discuss with President Zelensky,” said Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides.
As Bloomberg notes, the main question is whether Russia and Ukraine will be able to agree on transit conditions in the conditions of war. Continuing the agreement looks unlikely, since Ukraine does not want Russian gas to pass through its territory after the current agreement expires. They added that possible alternatives include fuel exchange or other intermediaries.
“Really, no,” Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob responded to a question about the chances of extending gas transit through Ukraine.
The Austrian government has been informed of Slovakia's attempts to increase transit through Ukraine, but there is no information about the readiness to sign any agreement, said Jurgen Schneider, head of the energy department of the Austrian Ministry of Energy.
