Slovakia had to send COVID-19 patients to neighboring countries due to a lack of places in intensive care units. This was reported by TASS with reference to the country's Ministry of Health.

According to the authorities, seriously ill patients from Slovakia were placed in clinics in Germany and Poland. It is noted that now in a European country in intensive care is the maximum number of cases of coronavirus in the entire pandemic – 349 people.

On March 2, the head of the European department of the World Health Organization (WHO), Hans Kluge, announced the first signs that the increase in the incidence of coronavirus in Europe has resumed. “After a decline in the incidence of COVID-19 in the region since the beginning of February, the first signs of its resumption have appeared in Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans. The fire has not yet extinguished, “Kluge said.
