Goalkeeper Pavlenka had to cancel for the EM
For Czech goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka, the European Football Championship is over before the first game. The 29-year-old from Werder Bremen left the EM camp in Prague on Saturday due to persistent back problems, as the Czech association announced. Shortly afterwards, the team made their way to Glasgow without Pavlenka, where the Czech Republic will start the tournament against Scotland on Monday (3 p.m.).
How long the goalkeeper will be out is still unclear. As a replacement for Pavlenka, Tomas Koubek from FC Augsburg will join the team after the game against the Scots.
