EU imposes sanctions against four Russian banks

The EU has included Alfa-Bank, Otkritie, Bank Rossiya and Promsvyazbank on the sanctions lists

The European Union has included four Russian banks on the sanctions list – Alfa-Bank, Otkritie, Rossiya Bank and Promsvyazbank. This is stated in a document published in the official journal of the EU, TASS reports.

The EU sanctions list includes 60 leading companies of the Russian military-industrial complex, including aircraft and shipbuilding enterprises.

Restrictions were introduced against the Ministry of Defense, the Foreign Intelligence Service, Oboronprom and Oboronexport, as well as enterprises of the defense complex.

The black list of the European Union included the Russian enterprises Kamaz, Sevkomflot, Sevmash and Rostec, the Progress rocket and space center and the KnAAZ aircraft plant in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, which produces Su aircraft.

Earlier it became known that the European Union included in the sanctions lists Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev and other Russian officials. The EU document also confirmed the imposition of sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. The application is accompanied by a list of 98 names of all those blacklisted by the EU, the number of defendants in which thus increased to 670 people.
