Let us remind you that April 12 is a significant date for Russia and the whole world. It was on this day in 1961 that cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin became the first person in history to conquer space. Earlier, the site kp.ru wrote about what Gagarin received after his legendary flight. According to the order of the USSR Council of Ministers, after the USSR pilot-cosmonaut Major Gagarin was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, he and his family members were presented with: “Volga car, residential building, furniture and equipment according to the appendix.” Also in honor of the space flight, the USSR Ministry of Defense gave him a four-room apartment.
