The expert assessed the harm from a smartphone left by the bed at night. Sergey Kuzmenko, a senior specialist in testing digital products of Roskachestvo, spoke about this in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

According to him, there is no scientific evidence that prolonged exposure to the phone can harm a person's health. He emphasized that a 2014 World Health Organization (WHO) report states that no correlation has been found between an increased risk of various diseases and smartphone use. Thus, the expert concluded that there is nothing wrong with keeping the gadget by the bed.

Kuzmenko also advises not to look at the smartphone screen for a long time while lying on the bed, as this can harm your eyesight. In addition, the specialist recommends not using the phone for an hour before bedtime.

Earlier, scientists at Lancaster University in the UK have denied the opinion that a long time spent behind the screen of a smartphone and other devices can harm the user's mental health. In the course of the study, they found that the time spent on the phone itself had no effect on the mental health of the participants.
