Escorting Putin's plane with fighter jets: an expert explained the dictator's fear

by alex

The dictator could have made such a decision after the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin in a plane crash.

Vladimir Putin began to fly over the territory for the first time since the beginning of the war Russia, accompanied by fighter jets. Residents of Yakutsk noticed at least one Su-30SM guarding the head of the Kremlin. Previously, fighter jets accompanied the board of the President of the Russian Federation only abroad.

Military expert, instructor pilot and reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan said this on Channel 24.

Putin has a fear of flying

We should remember how the private plane of the owner of the Wagner Pilot Company, Evgeniy Prigozhin, crashed in the Russian Federation on August 23, 2023. According to one version, the crash could have occurred as a result of airborne fire from the ground. According to Svitan, after the death or simulation of the death of Prigozhin, the Russian dictator realized that any aircraft can be eliminated using various methods of destruction, in particular MANPADS.

“Putin understands this, and he has developed a certain fear about flying. That is why a fighter is flying next to his plane, and probably more than one,” the instructor pilot suggested.

Yes, he says, a couple of planes, or maybe a flight – two pairs of fighters that cover Russian “Air Force No. 1” at different intervals.

As the expert explains, these fighters must, firstly, destroy any missile or aircraft that could threaten Putin’s plane, and secondly, expose their side to attack if necessary.

“This task can be set and completed,” emphasized Roman Svitan.

Recall that collaborator Gubarev exposed Putin in a lie about the “voluntary withdrawal” of the invaders from Kyiv.
