Recep Tayyip Erdogan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan thanked Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin for the praise. He is quoted by the Anadolu agency.
“These statements by Putin apply to himself to the same extent. Since I met him, that's how I know him. He is an honest man, he keeps his word, ”the Turkish politician admitted.
He also stressed that the relationship between Ankara and Moscow is a great joy, and the former maintains such strong ties with few people. The President hoped that in the future the relations between the countries would remain at the same level.
During his annual big press conference on December 17, Putin described Erdogan with the phrase “he doesn't wag his tail.” So he answered the question of which of the leaders of other countries it is comfortable to negotiate with. Putin noted that he does not divide people into good and bad, but works on the basis of Russia's national interests.
