Turkish President said he considers Israeli actions to be genocide of Palestinians.

Turkey< /strong> believes that Israel, through its actions in the Gaza Strip, is carrying out genocide of the Palestinians, therefore it is ending trade relations.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said this at a meeting in Istanbul 5th Conference of the Interparliamentary Jerusalem Platform, reports Ukrinform.

“We have severed our relations with Israel, in particular in the trade dimension. As our Foreign Minister announced, we are severing them,” Erdogan said.

In addition, Erdogan announced the continuation of the fight “with the conviction that defending Jerusalem means defending humanity, defending peace and defending respect for different faiths.”

The Turkish President said that he considers Israel's actions to be genocide of the Palestinians.

“No one can expect us to remain silent about genocide while our Palestinian brothers resisted alone for 203 days and single-handedly defended the dignity of all humanity,” the Turkish President said.

Recall that it was previously reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan decided to cancel his visit to the United States, which was supposed to take place on May 9.

In addition, we previously reported that Israel is ready to reconsider plans for a ground operation in southern Gaza.
