Turkey stated that it does not recognize the results of the so-called “referendums” ;, organized by the invaders in the occupied Ukrainian territories.
The representative of the President of Turkey, Ibrahim Kalin, stressed that their country did not recognize the results of the pseudo-referendum in Crimea in 2014 and has the same clear position regarding the pseudo-referenda that Russia now holds in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

“We do not consider the attempts of a unilateral referendum to be correct. Previously, we did not recognize the Crimean referendum of 2014 and its result, our position on such referendums is clear.We recognize territorial integrity of the Ukrainian people and Ukraine and declare that we stand on the side of Ukraine,” Kalin said.
Erdogan's speaker stressed that Turkey “is the only country making sincere efforts to end the war” of Russia against Ukraine.

According to the representative of the Turkish leader, at first there were 15 names of Ukrainians on the exchange list defenders, but it was not possible to agree on it. As a result of negotiations, five commanders of the Azov regiment were exchanged.
